TDCI Gearbox Reverse Switch Piggyback

Designed specifically for TDCI Defender models, this piggyback provides a convenient reverse-switched power supply from the gearbox reverse switch.

The adapter connects inline with the existing gearbox wiring, providing a straightforward power take-off for a reversing camera system without needing to splice into the reverse-lamp wiring at the rear of the vehicle.

Taking the supply directly from the reverse-switch circuit provides a cleaner installation with less modification to the vehicle's original wiring. It also reduces the amount of original vehicle wiring between the switching point and the camera-system supply, slightly reducing the potential for voltage drop compared with taking power from the reverse lamp.
